Wezesha launch of a report “Champions of Transformation”

Who are the Africans in Ireland? What are their skills, talents and expertise? “Champions of Transformation” is a report from a research carried by Wezesha that captures the situation of the African Diaspora in Ireland. The report is within the framework and complements the Decade for People of the African Descent (2015-2024), the Global Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda and the Irish International Development Strategy “One World One Future”. The report highlights the contribution of Africans both in Ireland and in their countries of origin and will set a base and be a resource for future emergency and development work in Africa.

The report was launched in Wynn’s Hotel on Thursday May 19th by Emily Logan, Chief Commissioner, Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission. Key speakers included Maureen O’Sullivan TD and  Head of the Irish Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa (AWEPA)

The event was supported by Dublin City Council
